Within any successful creative there must exist a spark – an ever-present energy that propels curiousity, investigation and innovation. For a select few, this flame burns especially bright and through the creative process, manifests itself into original and inspiring work. The Fashion Department at the Antwerp Academy, accredited with developing the likes of Anne Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela, is long renowned for cultivating this special kind of spark. This year's Antwerp Masters graduates are of no exception – Jantine Van Peski, Niels Peeraer, Frederick Hornof, Leonneke Derksen, En-Ya Vandenhende and Yusuke Hotchi are seven formidable young talents – each with a distinct stamp to make on their craft.

A creative collaboration with the Antwerp Academy, Like a Moth to a Flame is a seven piece editorial that features a look from each one of these designer's graduate collections. The fire will burn.

Les Enfants Terribles is a small commemorative project of Alexander McQueen pieces from his Fall and Spring 2008 RTW collections. A series of illustrations to honour the perfection in detail of the late designer's craft.

Biscuits and Tea is a celebration of all things Grandma. It is also my graduating thesis and a personal project inspired by my Grandmother, Lydia. Biscuits and Tea is comprised of 80+ hand drawn illustrations inspired by the Grandmother conviction that "happiness is homemade."

The book includes sections on Day Attire (Dressing Sharp), Underpinnings, Spectacles (i.e. the Doris, the Sophia, etc), Baking from Scratch (Grandmother recipes), Favourite Curse Words and also, Grandmother How To's (Cursive Writing, Deviled Eggs, etc).

The Value of Process: Having made the commitment to fully experience the virtue of 'happiness is homemade', each pattern was hand-drawn with no shortcuts.

Little Disguises is a fun little (ongoing) project I started this past year that was inspired by the slightly humiliated expressions found on the faces of small dogs caught in costume. It is an illustrative series that follows the letters of the alphabet. Pretty awesome to research, equally enjoyable to draw. More ridiculous little dogs to come.
